THE Wedding Binder

I, one of the most unorganized people I know, took one giant step for Katie kind and have turned every bit of wedding inspiration I love into an organized binder of love and inspiration.

One of the first things I did after getting engaged was buy a big binder, colored pens, card stock, and glue to put together an inspiration binder for our wedding. While Pinterest, wedding blogs, and bridal sites are nice, I'm a very visual person (and a little anal) when it comes to planning things and such so even with those tools, having physical pictures in front of me and being able to hold something and turn the pages makes me feel a million times better and organized.

I have it divided out into sections: Dresses/my look, ceremony, reception, bridal party, groom, centerpieces/flowers, and etc... Each section has different pages devoted to different things. There is so much to look out both online and in bridal magazines. It's so easy to get excited and get lost in reading suggestions and looking at pictures of gorgeous, quirky, fun weddings.

The wedding of my dreams is contained somewhere in these pages.
Two of my many pages devoted to the perfect dress.
Cake! The most important part, right?
A couple of ideas for special touches for the reception.
Cute "Save the Dates".
Centerpieces.
My sea of bridal magazines. So many ideas!
When I get some downtime I'll get lost in printing out pictures from websites and cutting out pictures from magazines and putting them in my little binder of love. I would highly suggest to any bride to be doing something like this. Planning a wedding is overwhelming even before you plan a single thing. I already feel so much better knowing that I'm at least somewhat picking out what I like so I have reference points. Plus, it's fun to look at what is out there and what other brides have done and what kind of awesome ideas are floating around.
